Trident Unveils New Sophisticated Look
The Trident Hotel, Kinsale, which is considered to be something of a jewel in the town’s tourism accommodation sector, unveiled its most recent facelift to a very impressed public at the hotel’s open evening on Wednesday last. Owned and run by the Good family since 1987, the hotel attracts a large number of customers, enticed not just by its four star status, but by its friendly and very attentive staff. However, it is without little doubt that it most recent makeover is certainly going to add to the character of the 75- bedroom establishment. In that line up are the nine sumptuous suites, facing on to the town’s historic harbour, with 30 additional executive rooms also offering incredible views of Ireland’s premier harbour – as does its remaining rooms. Of course, in addition, it also offers a very comprehensive banqueting room, with its Pier One restaurant receiving rave reviews, not just from the town’s residents, but also the travelling gourmet fraternity, who regularly drop in to sample its exquisite menu. If you want less formal surroundings, the hotel’s bar, aptly named Fisherman’s Wharf, offers the discerning visitor an opportunity to browse through an extensive menu, while enjoying a relaxing beer, glass of wine or simply kicking back, with a delicious coffee. Recognised as one of the town’s premier venues for weddings and functions, it also offers a wide range of conference facilities – nestled at the edge of the historic harbour, the unique setting must be considered one of the country’s most attractive locations for any event, either business or pleasure. Reflecting on what has been a significant financial undertaking in the recent changes to the hotel’s aesthetics, Mr. Hal McIlroy said: “We believe we have a very good product, in a very good region and it would be folly not to invest in that, to try and improve in where we are.”
