Stitch‘n’Time Carrigaline

Stitch‘n’Time Carrigaline The dressmaking and alterations boutique on Main Street, Carrigaline has become well known in the locality and beyond in recent years. Since a change of management in 2015 it has been operating under a new name – Stitch’n’Time. Over time it has become one of the most reliable businesses for alterations in the area. You can tell that their reputation has been well established by the sheer amount of clothing hanging behind the reception desk. Barbara, Carmen and Monika are dedicated to their work and together they have over 50 years of experience in the industry. In Stitch’n’Time you will find a collection of skills, professional backgrounds and ideas well demonstrated in their work. Barbara is the person looking after the customers, with a great smile, and she ensures that everything runs smoothly. She is the one making sure your garments are ready on time. And they are as well made inside as out! Carmen’s impressive background is mainly in bridal and evening wear, and Monika’s extensive experience in the field is in both ladies and men tailoring and alterations. Those ladies understand how a dress should be tailored to flatter the figure. They tell us how even a centimetre can make a difference and how you can customize a dress by simply adding a lace insert to completely transform it. “It can be a difficult business at times. Especially with fast fashion going strong when you can get clothes in popular retail shops at really low prices. The costs for mass production are shockingly low and that reflects in the quality. It’s obviously impossible for a small local shop like ours to compete with big brands, but we are proud of our work when we have so many returning customers trusting us with their garments.” This year Stitch’n’Time is planning on introducing special offers all year round. 12 different promotions for 12 months, and each one corresponding to a particular season or occasion. They have an impressive selection of fabrics for sale and for the customers to choose from when having their garments made to measure in the shop. “Whether it’s a minor repair or a major alteration, let us look after your clothes so that you can focus on things that really matter in life.” Unit 3, Desmond House, Main Street, Carrigaline.
