Kinsale’s Ghost Tour will mark its 25th anniversary with a special screening of a film used to promote the popular tourist attraction in 2005.

The ‘Mockumentary’ as one of the dynamic members of the tour, David Peare, described the upcoming screening in Kinsale Library on Saturday, March 29th at 3pm.

Featuring many of the town’s familiar faces, it will certainly have those viewing the production in stitches. However, those attending the screening are advised of what David describes as adult humour.

In looking back on the success of the tour over the period, David pays a huge tribute to the other half of the founding team, Brian O’Neill.

‘I’d say we could say anything to each other, there has never been big spats,’ David said. ‘The two halves of the brain coming together, we have only half a brain each,’ David jokes.

Of course, the ghost tour is now a second generation being added to the line-up as David’s son, Sam, has joined in, along with Rachel Fox and David Gunn.

The tour runs from May to September from the Tap Tavern Bar, Sunday to Friday from 9pm.

When asked what the public can expect on the tour, David remarked, ‘It covers all age groups, there is a bit of slap stick, there is a bit of Monty Python, there’s plenty of humour, there’s a good bit of history, and we keep them awake by jumping out of them every so often.’

So anyone who enjoys a bit of humour should not miss a behind the scenes look at the ‘Kinsale Ghost Tour’ but a word of caution, booking is essential, so don’t hesitate to contact the library and avoid disappointment.
