Patrick Collins is nominated for All-Star Award

The Cork goalie, who hails from Ballinhassig, is one of ten Cork players up for for the prestigious award.

This is Collins second time being nominated, he lost out to Eoin Murphy of Kilkenny back in 2021.

All-Ireland winners Clare, deservedly, lead the list of PwC Hurling All-Stars nominees with fourteen players nominated.

Collins put in impressive performances between the sticks for the Rebel County throughout the 2024 campaign, but it was a single point that stood in the way between him and an All-Ireland medal.

His heroics to deny Limerick's Aaron Gillane a goal in the semi-final was one of many stand-out moments that undoubtedly earned him the nod.

He faces All- Ireland winning goalkeeper Eibhear Quilligan of Clare, and Limerick's Nickie Quaid.

Darragh Fitzgibbon and Eoin Downey have also been nominated for individual honours.

Fitzgibbon (Charleville) won Hurler of the Month for May and the midfielder has been nominated alongside Limerick's Kyle Hayes and Clare's Shane O’Donnell.

The Glen's Eoin Downey was nominated for Young Hurler of the Year. Adam Hogan of Clare and Cathal O’Neill of Limerick were also nominated.

Robert Downey, Ciarán Joyce, Tim O'Mahony, Shane Barrett, Seamus Harnedy, Patrick Horgan, and Brian Hayes also received nominations.
