Kinsale's John Murphy qualified for the DP World Golf Tour following an outstanding final round at Q-school in Spain last week. Entering the final day, Murphy produced a magical performance to shoot a 65.
In response to making the cut for the prestigious tour, John said, “Obviously, this success means a lot to my family and me, it hasn't been an easy journey to the DP World Tour, but it's been worth every bit of sacrifice. My parents and the surrounding team have helped me so much on this journey, and I'm as happy for them as I am for myself. As for the future, I've done an excellent job of not getting consumed in outcomes in the last couple of years and just focusing on the present, and that's certainly what I'm going to continue to do, and hopefully, that will have me in a good place at the end of next year.”
