Kinsale & District Lions Club are proud to announce the appointment of Cormac Fitzgerald as its new President. With a strong commitment to community service and a passion for making a positive impact, accountant & businessman Cormac Fitzgerald FCPA is poised to lead the club in its mission to serve Kinsale & surrounding areas. Cormac thanked the outgoing President Alice De La Cour for her excellent work.
As a longstanding member of the Lions Club, Cormac Fitzgerald brings a wealth of leadership experience and dedication to the role. His leadership qualities and unwavering dedication to serving others have made him a respected figure within the community. Cormac is the past president of CPA Ireland, one of Ireland’s leading accountancy bodies, and Managing Partner of Fitzgerald & Partners Accounting firm who specialise in the SME sector with over 25 years helping, supporting and advising SMEs .
He is married to Valerie Fitzgerald and has two children Sarah Fitzgerald and Cillian Fitzgerald.As part of Lions International – a global force for good, Lions are changing the world one community at a time, by addressing needs at home and around the world. With over 1.4 m lions globally who believe that kindness matters, Lions can achieve bigger goals. Lions Club International was founded in 1917 by Melvin Jones. In addition toserving locally , Lions support five global causes – Diabetes, Environment, Hunger, Vison and Childhood Cancer.In accepting this esteemed position, Cormac Fitzgerald expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve as President of the Kinsale & District Lions Club.
