Valley Rovers GAA have an online auction on Friday, July 12th and part of the 105 lots up for grabs are a pair of sought after All-Ireland Hurling Tickets on Sunday week.
Organised by Kevin Canty, ‘The online auction has already drawn significant interest from well outside the bounds of the Innishannon club,’ remarked Kevin.
While hurling fans will be attracted by the opportunity to get their hands on the ‘Golden tickets, as the Rebels seek to bridge the 24-year gap on July 21st, also on offer are a pair of signed boots from Ireland’s out-half and resident of the Parish, Jack Crowley.

Depending on the result in Croke Park, the signed Cork jersey, bearing all the team’s signatures from Sunday’s dramatic win over Limerick, is an investment that could be extremely valuable in the future.
The club have also secured a pair of tickets for the All-Ireland football final and in addition to attracting interest from Cork, there has been notable interest from those counties who are still in contention to raise the Sam Maguire.
‘Thanks to the generosity of the individuals and local businesses, we have a huge selection of items up for grabs,' said Kevin.
‘In addition to the big-ticket items, also on offer is a holiday break in an apartment in Spain, VIP tickets to see Lyra, €250 gift voucher for Blacks Brewery in Kinsale, Two Tickets to see the Red Devils at home to Spurs in September, and much, much more,’
Outlining the uniqueness of this auction, ‘It is an auction with a difference, in so far as it is run through Zoom, the online platform, so people will be able to bid for the items from the comfort of their own home,’ said Kevin.
‘All people have to do is to download Zoom, if they have not done so previously, and log onto www.valleyrovers.com and click on the link.’
The auction kicks off at 7.30pm, under the direction of Ray McCarthy, Alan Quirke and John Hurley, with bidders able to place their bid by using the chat function.
Important reminder to all those bidding to remember to keep the bids high to avoid disappointment.
‘We expect each lot to take about a minute, the auctioneer will have the gavel and as soon as he brings that down, we will record the highest bidder at the time, and we move onto the next lot,' Kevin added.
The event is an important fundraiser for the club to improve their facilities both at Brinny and Innishannon, one that just doesn't benefit the local club, but also many clubs who line out here for divisional and county competitions.
