A man has been brought to hospital following a crash which caused serious damage to St Mary’s Church of Ireland parish hall in Carrigaline.
The incident happened on Church Road at approximately 3am this morning (Monday 27th).
Gardaí and ambulance services were called to the scene after the vehicle collided with the wall of the parish hall.
The driver, who was the only occupant in the car, was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The car, which was believed to be travelling down Rock Road, crossed through the main Church Road, before hitting the parish hall.
The side wall of the hall, which is also used as a Montessori called Amanda’s Playschool, was badly damaged.
Gardaí are investigating the incident

A vehicle is believed to have crashed into the wall of St. Mary's Parish Hall Carrigaline overnight or in the early hours of this morning.
It is not clear yet what type of vehicle, though it is speculated it may have come straight through the main Church Rd from The Rock Road
Gardai are investigating.
