The South East Division resumed proceedings at the weekend as the footballers took to the field. Ballinhassig lost out to Courcey Rovers in the Junior A Football League in Ballinspittle. The final score was Courcey Rovers 2-8 Ballinhassig 1-7.
In the U21 C competition, Belgooly were well beaten by D Murchus. Ballygarvan, who have upgraded to the County Division Leagues, had a good win over Urhan on Saturday. Ballygarvan were without Sean Brady as he lined out with Cork against Roscommon at Pairc Ui Chaoimh .
This weekend it is the return of the hurlers as Belgooly face Ballygarvan, Ballymartle play Valley Rovers, Ballinhassig line out against Courcey Rovers and Tracton play Carrigaline.
Currently, all these games have a 3pm throw-in, but this may change, so please check locally.
In the Coop Superstore County League Competitions, Ballinhassig face Blackrock on Saturday at Church Road at 2.45pm and Ballymartle play Eire Og in Riverstick at 16.30pm. Ballygarvan are at home to Milford on Sunday with a 11.30am throw-in and Tracton are at home to St Catherines at the same time, also on Sunday.
